البُوليس مِش بُوليسنا

El-boleess mesh boleessna

the police is not our police 

الرَّئِيس مِش رَئِيسنا

e-ra’ees mesh ra’eessna

the president is not our president

لَمِين بِدَّك تِشكِي لَمِين

Lameen beddak teshki lameen

To who you want to  complain to

O el-qaadi mesh beye3del

 doesn’t adjust And the judge 

شُو مَا تِعمِل عَ الفَاضِي

Sho ma te3mel 3alfaadi

whatever you do is in pointless 

البُولِيس مَا بِيِحمِينا

el-boleess maa beye7meena

 doesn't protect us  the police  

رَاحِت كُل أَراضِينَا

raa7et kell araad'eena

  all our lands are gone

بَس عِندَنا (عَنّا) سِجُون بِتِكفِينَا(بِتكَفِّينا)

bass 3andna sejoon betkaffeena

but we have prisons are enough for us

what do you want to talk and to who?

who will you complain to ?

والقَاضِي مِش بِيِعدِل

And the judge doesn’t adjust

شُو مَا تِعمِل عَ الفَاضِي

sho maa te3mel 3al fadd'i

whatever you do is in pointless

لَمِين بِدَّك تِشكِي لَمَّا جَارَك يِطُخ عَ دَارَك

lamen beddak teshki lamma jaarak yetokh 3a daarak

Who will you complain when your neighbor shoots at your house

  

واِبن بَلَدَك يِهَدِّد فِيك بِسَبَب شَكلَك أَو أَفكَارَك

o ebn baladak yehadded feek bessabab shaklak aw afkaarak

and your homey (son of your country) threatens you because of your look or your ideas

لَمِين بِدَّك تِشكِي لَمَّا نَاس مَفرُوض تِحمِيك، بِتِتعَدَّى عَلِيك وبِتهَدِّد فِيك

lameen beddak teshki lamma naass mafrood' te7meek, btet3adda 3alek o bethadded feek

Who will you go to when people should protect you, attack you and threaten you..

خَلِّينِي سَاكِت خَلَص، مَضَلِّش عَندِي شُو أَزيد

khalleeni saaket khalass, madd'allesh 3andi sho azeed

Let me be silent that’s enough (finish). I have nothing with me what I increase (add)

 

بَلَا مَا يِتبَلُّوا عَلَيّ ويِتِهمُونِي بِالتَّحرِيض

bala maa yetballu 3alayye o yettehmooni be-ta7reed'

I don't want be incriminated and accused me of incitement

طِلِع الحَكِي عَليه جِمرُك والغِنَانِي عَليهَا ضَريبِة

tele3 el-7aki 3aleih jemrok o el-ghenaani 3aleiha d'areebeh

(It seems)Turns out  that the talk should have (to pay) customs, and the songs should have (pay) taxes.

ومِش كِل كِلمِة رَح تِمرُق عَلى خِير يَا حَبِيبِي

o mesh kell kelme ra7 temroq 3ala khair ya 7abeebi

And not every word will pass (on) good, o lover
