waddeeli salaami (ودي لي سلامي)

 

Convey my greetings

وَدّي لِي سَلَامِي يَا رَايِح لَلحَرَم

O who's going to the Holy places convey my greetings

وَدَّى – بيوَدِّي to convey

جاب – بيجيب to bring

عَطى – بيعطي to give

وادعِي لِي وسِلِّم لِي على هَادِي الأُمَم

Supplicate for me and send my salutations on the guide of all nations

دعا – بيدعي to supplicate

صَلِّى – بِيصَلِّي to pray

سَلَّم – بيسَلِّم to send salutations – to greet

أُمِّة – أُمَم nations

أُنظُر لَلكَعبِة يَا مَحلَاهَا

Behold the Ka'ba, oh how beautiful it is

نَظَر – بينظُر to look at

طَلَّع – بيطَلِّع to look at

حِلو – حِلوِة beautiful - nice

نورٌ وجَلالٌ يَغشَاهَا

Covered in light and glory

غِشي – بيغشَى to be covered

يِحرُسهَا رَبِّي ويِرعَاهَا

May Allah protect it and watch over it

حَرَس – بيحرُس to protect

رعى – بيرعى to watch over – to care about

واِذكُرنِي أَمَامهَا وادعِي لِي

Remember me in front of it and supplicate for me

ذَكَر – بيذكُر to remember

وادعِي لِي

And supplicate for me

يا سَاعِي بِهِمِّة مِن الصَّفَا لَلمَروَة

O who's seeking from al-Safa to al-Marwa

سَعى – بيسعى to seek

ساعي – ساعية – ساعيين who’s seeking

هِمِّة  Diligence

يا شَارِب مِن زَمزَم تِذَكَّرنِي بِدَعوِة

O who's drinking from Zamzam, remember me with a supplication

شِرِب – بيشرَب to drink

شارِب – شاربِة – شاربين active participle

تِذَكَّر – بيتذَكَّر to remember

يا طَالِع على جَبَل الرَّحمِة

O who's climbing on the Mountain of Mercy

طِلِع – بيطلَع to climb – to go out

طالع – طالعة - طالعين

يا مَاشِي في وَسَط الزَّحمِة

O who's walking amidst the crowds

مِشي – بيمشي to walk

ماشي – ماشِيِة – ماشِيين who’s walking

اطُلب من مَولاك الرَّحمِة

Ask your Lord for forgiveness

طَلَب – بيطلُب to ask – to request

واذكرني أَمَامها وادعِي لي

Remember me in front of it and supplicate for me

وادعي لي

And supplicate for me

ودّي لي سلامي يا رايح للحَرَم

O who's going to the Holy places convey my greetings

راح – بيروح to go

رايِح – رايحَة - رايحين

وادعِي لِي وسَلِّم لي على هَادِي الأُمَم

Supplicate for me and send my salutations to the guide of all nations

اُنظًر للكَعبِة مَحلَاها

Behold the Ka'ba, oh how beautiful it is

نورٌ وجلالٌ يَغشَاهَا

Covered in light and glory

يِحرُسها رَبِّي ويِرعَاها

May Allah protect it and watch over it

واذكُرنِي أَمَامها وادعِي لِي

Remember me in front of it and supplicate for me

وادعِي لِي

And supplicate for me

هَنيئَاً هَنيئَاً يا رَايِح لِلهَادِي

How fortunate are you, O you who's going to the Guide

Congratulations o who’s going to the guide   Congratulations

غَرامُه شَغَلنِي مَلا كُلّ فُؤَادِي

His love has preoccupied me, it has filled my whole being

شَغل – بيشغُل to preoccupy

ملا – بيملا to fill

فؤادي my heart

أُدخُل من بَابِ السَّلامِ

Enter from the Gate of Salam (peace)

بِتَأدُّبٍ واحتِرام

With politeness and respect

احتَرَم – بِيِحتِرِم to respect

مؤدَّب polite

تِاَدَّب – بيتأدَّب to be polite

سَلِّم على طَهَ التُّهَامِي

greet Taha al-Tihamy (one of the Prophet's names)

 واسأَلهُ شَفَاعَة وادعِي لِي

And ask for him to intercede and supplicate for me

تِشَفَّع – بِيِتشَفَّع to intercede

وادعي لي

And supplicate for me
